Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality dermatologic care to patients of all ages, working closely with our board-certified dermatologists in a fast-paced, well-supported clinical environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform comprehensive skin exams and diagnose/manage common dermatologic conditions (acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, skin infections, etc.)
- Conduct full-body skin cancer screenings and identify suspicious lesions
- Perform biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and other in-office procedures as credentialed
- Prescribe appropriate treatments, including topical and systemic medications
- Educate patients on skin health, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and the broader clinical team on complex cases
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
- Optionally, offer cosmetic services (Botox, fillers, laser treatments) depending on interest and training
Qualifications
- Active NP or PA license in New York, in good standing
- Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program
- Current DEA and prescriptive authority
- 2+ years of dermatology experience strongly preferred (new grads with strong clinical training may be considered)
- BLS certification required
- Excellent bedside manner, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume clinical setting
